Take a Christmas Trip..

I have a Christmas gift for you… no strings. Simply a gift. This is all about you and nothing else. Nothing…

For many years, I have been frustrated knowing I have a gift to give and feeling “prevented” from giving it. Sharing my gift with whomever will receive. You have a gift, even if you’ve never spent a minute thinking about it. I am more excited and more hopeful than at any other time in my life. Perhaps my gift to you today may nudge you closer to that state of mind and state of being. That would certainly be healthier…

In order to connect, in order to convey what I have to share with you, a tiny bit about me will be helpful. I grew up in a dysfunctional home. My biological father left when I was an infant. I NEVER met him face to face after that point till his death. My step-father was a hard-driving disciplinarian alcoholic who left my mother in my teens for his bar-maid girlfriend. My mother, now 87 never re-married. I left the house at age 14 and spent 5 years living on the streets. As you can imagine, I saw alot and experienced much of the worst side of life and people. It left a deep mark that is still a work of healing and overcoming in my own life. Despite my troubles, I had a disporportionate amount of compassion and a strong desire to help others. Later on I became an advanced EMT-Paramedic working with the first trauma center in the country, Denver-General Trauma center and was a dust-off flight medic with advanced neo-natal care and transport training. I went on to become an instructor in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and taught / certified emergency personnel including doctors and nurses. You likely cannot fathom much of what I have seen and been up close and personal with. The point is this… it gave me a profound and deep sense of awe and appreciation for life and for good health. Try to imagine a loved one in a coma hooked up to all sorts of machinery with clear GEL oozing from their nostrils, eyes and ears. Never to recover… Forgive me for painting a horrible picture but people take their health and their life for granted. My mission (and the gift I want to share with you today) is to encourage people to contemplate the important things of this short life. A book I read daily says: For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perishes: so also shall the rich man (and all men) fade away in his ways. (in short time)

You are special…

You have one or more UNIQUE gifts (to share with others)

The most important things in life… are not THINGS

Please take 3 minutes to receive my gift. No distractions. No phone calls or text messages. No internet browsing. Just quiet and being alone while you listen to the attached mp3 file. This man is a national treasure in the country of my wife’s birth. Romania. Although you will not understand a word, you can surely perceive and FEEL the spirit of what you will hear. Let that spirit speak to your heart and soul. When you are done, take another minute or as long as you like to listen quietly to what may come to your mind…. Feel free to share with me what you experienced. I’d love to hear it.

At this time when much of the world is celebrating or observing Christmas, I want to wish you

Peace and Goodwill…
from others and to them as well

Merry Christmas

Elijah
